Try it in your own community
A 30-day pilot, with nothing to buy first
What a pilot is
A pilot is a month of using Cognicopia with a few residents, so you can see whether it fits your community before anyone approves a purchase.
It costs nothing to start. The first 25 packets are free on every computer: no sign-up, no card and nothing to install. Resident details stay in the browser on the computer you use, and no resident data leaves the device.
The sample is a real packet, made by the tool for a made-up resident. Nothing in it was drawn by hand.
Your 30 days
- Week 1: set up and printChoose three residents at different stages. Add each one's preferred name, birth year and a few interests, then print Today's Packet for each. Look at the pages yourself before they go to anyone.
- Week 2: use it in the dayOffer a packet in the morning and another in the afternoon. Set out two or three bold markers and let the resident choose. Staff can keep short handoff notes on the Shift board, by alias or room, never by name.
- Week 3: widen itTry one group session from the Facility Portal, a coloring page, or a Memory Digest for a family. Ask a nurse or aide to take one 15-minute masterclass in the Academy.
- Week 4: decideAsk the staff who used it what they thought. If it fits, choose a plan on the pricing page. If it does not, you have spent nothing.
What to write down
A short list is enough. These are your own observations, in your own words:
- Which pages a resident picked up, and which they put down.
- How long they stayed with an activity, and what they said or did.
- What staff said about the pages and the prompts.
- Whether the pages printed cleanly on your printers, on Letter paper.
- Anything that was confusing or missing.
Cognicopia does not claim a clinical result from a month of use. The notes are for your own team and your own decision.
Questions an administrator or IT may ask
- Where does resident information go?
- It stays in the browser on the computer where it was typed. The packet tools make no network request of their own. This supports a facility's own privacy practices; it does not replace them. The full answer is on Privacy & Your Data, with answers for an IT team and an accessibility statement.
- Does it need the internet?
- The tools make and print packets on the computer, so a network that blocks other sites does not stop printing. Buying is separate: a card payment goes through Stripe, and an invoice is available.
- What do we need to print?
- Any printer your browser can print to, on US Letter paper. Pages are pure black on white, with a wide margin on the binding side.
- What does it cost afterward?
- $39 a month or $349 a year for your building, with unlimited packets. The yearly plan works out to under $1 a day. If it is not right for your community, ask within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund it.
